Taylor and Griffin
The Admiral’s House is one of the most quintessential Seattle venues. It overlooks Elliot Bay high up on a hill in the Magnolia neighborhood. Lush gardens lined with Hydrangea and water views make this a must see venue. Taylor and Griffin’s wedding was a classic white and green wedding with lush florals and beautiful details. We paired seasonal August flowers like Dahlias, Lisianthus, Scabiosa, and Garden Roses with Baptisia, Raspberry and Geranium foliage. There’s just something about a white and green wedding at The Admiral’s House, you can’t go wrong!

My Wedding! YAY! | Monroe, WA
It is a SURREAL feeling to be blogging my own wedding. Our day was pure magic, and truly the best Covid wedding imaginable.
We faced all of the challenges and disruptions you might expect for a 2020 couple. I am sure if I really thought about it, my list would be a mile long…. but here’s a brief look at just a few of our changes; we downsized by 150+ people, moved to my parents house, revised rentals, & design plans, created multiple guest lists, updated our color palette, changed photographers, the list goes on….! With all of that being said, the most important thing for us was to be married surrounded by our family and best friends, and we made it happen. We sure did miss some of our favorite humans, and hope to celebrate with everyone in the future!
Moral of our story, DO THE DAMN THING! We are SO SO SO happy that we exchanged vows and celebrated our love during this dark and emotional year.
Being a vendor, the questions I was asked most were “are you doing your own flowers?” and “how did you choose your vendors?”
The first question “are you doing your own flowers?” was a bit harder to answer (HA!) my answer was always the same, “yes and no”. It was really important to me that our flowers felt like me, and I couldn’t imagine not having my hands on a few things! However, I am not completely crazy, so it was crucial that day of I didn’t do anythinggggg. My incredible team (led by Eleanor of Bash & Bloom) did design work leading up to our day and also lead styling and set up. I had been hoarding dried elements for months, so many of our bud vase centerpieces and hanging installations had been done for weeks just waiting for their debut. Our table styling, arch and other elements are 100% the work of my EXTREMELY talented team. When I saw our arch, I squealed - it was perfect.
Choosing vendors was a no brainer! They are the people who have become my work family and who I have built strong relationships and friendships with over the last 5 years. Our styles, interests, outlook on life and businesses very much run the same course, and honestly our day would not have been the same without them. See our incredible vendor list below. With their help and ideas, our day was picture perfect.
A special shoutout to my parents who put so much work in to their backyard to turn it in to our venue! I love you, thank you will never be enough.
Take a look at our photos and details below.

Admiral’s House Wedding | Seattle
Krista and Bryce’s Admiral House wedding was a romantic Summer affair with blooms to match. We added in a pop of berry to make their flowers stand out against the traditional blush and white we are accustomed to, and I am so glad we took that leap. Fluffy Dahlias, Garden Roses, and Lisianthus paired with dainty Cosmos and Scabiosa made their centerpieces and bouquets some of my favorite of the year. Working alongside my close friend Melissa of Bright Side Events made this wedding extra special and fun.
Check out the AMAZING photos from Rachel B. photo. Working with her on this wedding is what sealed the deal for me, and I chose her as our photographer for my own upcoming wedding.
Thank you Krista and Bryce!

Alex + Matt
Bold Fall Wedding | Monroe
Early Fall weddings are some of my absolute favorites, and Alex and Matt’s is no exception. Dark moody colors, combined with vibrant Fall tones made their day unique and special. Alex described their vibe as “boho and a little witchy” — what more could you ask for just before Halloween? Local Dahlias, Amaranth, Chocolate Cosmos, dried Bracken Fern, Spiral Eucalyptus, Baccara Roses and Pampas Grass brought their wedding theme to life. Not to mention, the grounds at Pine Creek Nursery were filled with pumpkins, flowers and some AMAZING golden hour light captured by Kaitlin Evans!

Jess and Pablo, what can I say? They are two of the BEST people I have worked with. Down to earth, down to party and so, so in love. Their wedding will be at the top of my list forever. A romantic beach ceremony followed by an epic dinner and dance party for their closest friends and family. Not to mention, they hired one of the best vendor teams around. Check it out below!

Chauanh + Gabriel
Date: August 12, 2017
Coordinator: Luma & Lavender
Photographer: Luma Weddings
Venue: Private Residence, Whidbey Island
Florals: Rusted Vase Floral Co.
Chauanh and Gabriel were married at a beautiful family home on Whidbey Island. The sun was shining and a light breeze rolled through the property, the perfect wedding weather! Family and bridal party members were bustling around, vendor teams were prepping food, folding napkins, and taking photos. It was laid back and intimate, one of my favorite wedding set ups! (Not to mention one of my favorite couples.)
I first met Chauanh & Gabriel at a coffee shop in Capitol Hill, they were silly, sweet, and so happy to be planning their wedding together. Their vision for florals was simple and lush, with a touch of the PNW beach. Gabriel's Dad built a custom driftwood arch for the ceremony that I wish I could have taken home with me, it was stunning! They fused together Vietnamese traditions with their romantic ceremony and reception, and everything went together beautifully!
One of the best details of the day was perhaps Chauanah's three dresses! One red, one white, one pink. Each representing a significant part of their cultures and commitment to one another.
Working alongside Haley & Kyle Goldie of Luma Weddings/Luma & Lavender is always fun and the images from Kyle are stunning! Take a peek below....!
Thanks Chauanh & Gabriel!

Matt + Keiko
A velvet wedding dress, two love birds, and one of the most epic dance parties of all time!
I worked alongside Danae of Perfectly Posh Events to bring Matt & Keiko's vision to life. If you ever have the chance to work with Danae, do it! She's a creative gem and someone I am lucky enough to call a friend-or, or in wedding industry language, someone who is a vendor AND a friend.
We brought the outdoors, with vines trailing along Crimson Haze bistro lights, a romantic copper arch way, and greenery centerpieces. A quirky library book collection paired with globes, indoor plants, and textured blooms made guests feel as if they were in the house of a brilliant college professor. Sophisticated and organic all at the same time.
Be sure to check out these images from Carina Skrobecki. They are INCREDIBLE!

Fall in Love | Styled Shoot
It's my favorite time of year. Leaves are falling, pumpkin patches are over flowing, and the never ending season of hot coffee and scarves is upon us! It is the perfect season for golden hour light, natural wind, and a romantic shoot in the great outdoors.
Erika of The Greatest Adventure Weddings and I put together a non-traditional pumpkin patch shoot with a really, really wonderful vendor team, and it turned out to be one of my favorite shoots of the year.

Lora + Max
Sometimes the best things come together unexpectedly, and at the last minute. Lora and Max contacted me shortly before their wedding explaining that their florist had cancelled and they were in need of a new florist. I am SO glad that they reached out. Lora and Max were both kind, grateful, and so in love. They shared intimate gifts with one another before their first look at the altar. Alex Lasota captured their day so beautifully. All of the small details, smiles and one of the cutest bridal party pups to date are below!

A roof top courthouse ceremony followed by an intimate rehearsal dinner at Casco Antiguo started off Jesse and Sophia's epic wedding weekend. There are so many little details that made this my FAVORITE wedding of the year. Jesse and Sophia worked hard to bring their modern, artistic wedding to life. A stellar vendor team, hand painted artwork from the groom, unique decor touches (including a SUPER FUN photo booth back drop), and a custom made neon sign are just a few of the details that make this wedding so special. Thank you Jesse and Sophia for trusting me with your vision, and for letting me have so much artistic freedom with your florals.

Megan & John's wedding was the perfect "Seattle" wedding. Rooftop first looks at the Thompson Hotel, bridal party photos in Pioneer Square, followed by a reception at one of Seattle's top wedding venues, The Foundry by Herban Feast.
When Molly of Bridal Bliss reached out to me about Megan and John's florals, she described the day as "romantic and classic with a nod to the South". My DREAM client. Megan is originally from Georgia, so we thought it would be fun to incorporate some peaches in to the head table decor with just a "pop" of peach in all of the arrangements.
Megan and John's day turned out to be one of my absolute favorites of the year. A beautiful combination of classic and romantic with a modern and natural twist. Matthew Land Photography captured everything beautifully. When I opened their gallery for the first time I squealed, (literally). Thank you Matthew Land, your work is STUNNING!
Take a peek for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

If I could dream up my own wedding, it would be similar to Tessa & Evan's. Simple and sweet. Happy grins around every corner and the sweetest little details. While looking through their gallery, I teared up multiple times. Their wedding is the perfect mix of boho chic and PNW adventure. Not to mention an amazing color palette filled with warm, rich tones. The photos from Jacquelyn Portolese are INCREDIBLE. You can feel the love that Tessa, Evan and their families share, it is a really beautiful thing.

Cake: Baked Seattle
Floral Design: Rusted Vase Floral Co.
There are a few times each wedding season that I meet a bride and instantly know that we are the perfect match. When I met Anna earlier this year, it was one of those encounters. I felt like we had been friends for years. When you pair that chemistry with an amazing vision and vendor team, it's likely that the wedding will be wonderful. Maroni meadows is tucked away on a quiet side road just above the Snohomish valley. It is a sweet backyard venue with just the right amount of decor. Lora Grady Photography blew me away with the photos, soft, romantic and beautiful. To see more of Lora's work and more from Anna & Mike's wedding, be sure to check out her blog here.
Romantic Shadow Mountain Wedding

It is the perfect setting for an early Summer wedding. Natachia and Taylor said their vows in front of friends and family on a perfect June day.
